GO UGLY
With all the talk about how Palin is an embarrassment, and how we need to worry about Joe Biden coming off as condescending if he treats her too kindly while she displays her lack of deep knowledge regarding foreign affairs, I think there is one huge possibility that we're overlooking. The old conservative standby--when you don't have a good position to defend, stay on offense.
I am sure that Palin is going to come out and name drop a few more obscure world leaders, and will probably even be able to display some depth of knowledge about them if she is allowed to choose which ones to speak on. In spite of her being seen as shallow, I have no doubt that she is smart enough to memorise at least a few sets of impressive facts.
Where she would be tripped up would be if Biden or the moderator has a chance to ask her in-depth followup questions about subjects where she has not been able to commit deep details to memory. So in order to avoid this shortcoming ever being exposed, her only choice is to go ugly, and do so as often as possible.
